Finfish Advisory Committee Meeting

The Potomac River Finfish Advisory Committee, which is comprised of private citizens and industry representatives, will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in the John T. Parran Hearing Room in the PRFC Office, Colonial Beach, Virginia.

Items on the agenda will include, but may not be limited to: a recap of the June 11th Commission meeting, review and discussion of the recommendations from the commercial Hook & Line Work Group, updates on ASMFC items, a discussion on bowfishing for Cow nose rays and a preview of items for the upcoming Commission meeting in September.

Any recommendations developed by this committee will be forwarded to the Potomac River Fisheries Commission for consideration prior to implementation. The next Commission meeting is scheduled for September 10, 2015.

The Potomac River Fisheries Commission coordinates regulations with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC) and the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, (DGIF) and with the other Atlantic coastal states through the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC).
